"Dead Engine"

Here is "Dead Engine", the long awaited sequel to "A Flat in B Minor". In this sequel our stranded hero is rescued by an Intergalactic Tow Truck Driver. Things do not go well for either of them.

Kip finds the Crystal Skull

Chris was sure the Crystal Skull vodka could only be purchased in Quebec.
Kip found it at a local LCBO. 

Here's the evolution of 3 scenes in "Dead Engine"…Hoping to release this massive short sometime in the next 6 weeks.  The first pass is the storyboard cut into the animatic. The second pass is the first go at 2D mixed with 3D. The Third pass is pretty close to final with the design 'hammered' out and the atmosphere added to the surface of the planet. Brian Schlachta is an amazing 3D animator. Check out the reflection in the windshield of the small craft. Kip handled the music on "A Flat in B Minor" and is arranging the music for this short as well.

A Flat in B Minor

A little over three years ago Brian Schlachta, Kip Hardy and myself produced "A Flat in B Minor" and submitted it to several Animation Festivals around the world. It eventually played in six festivals up and down the west coast from Los Angeles to Anchorage, Alaska. We're coming down the home stretch on the sequel. We're hoping to have it completed sometime this spring.

I flipped some of them upside down. (I had on my parka..no one was else was home)
