The Snow or the Cold

  1. How much snow did you get and how cold is it over there? Where about in Canada are you at?

  2. We got about 10 inches in this last storm. It's warming up now, but this morning it was -24 Celcius (about -11 F) with the wind chill cruising in at about -32C (-25F). The weather is crazy. It's warming up to -1C tomorrow and back down to -22 on Wednesday. I'm in Ottawa.

  3. Wow, I thought you'd be around northern parts of Canada. Is it always like that in the winter?

  4. The deep freeze is normal for this time of year. It can go on for 3 - 4 weeks going up and down but staying below the freezing point. We usually get quite a bit more snow in December. We got off easy last month.

  5. Well... I guess I'll cross off southern Canada (and hence entire Canada) as my possible retirement location.

  6. A lot of our retired neighbours head to Florida for 4 months a year. I don't mind the cold weather. I just hate being cold. It really isn't bad if you're dressed for it.
